Yama Vans is a builder based out of Calgary, Canada who has a long waiting list for their builds and is known for their quality craftsmanship and finely-tuned builds for four season adventures. The systems in the van will keep you safe, warm, and comfortable for any adventure. With 400 amp hours of lithium batteries that can be charged via a Victron DC-to-DC, Victron Solar MPPT (260 watts of panels), and shore power. All of the system controls are tucked away out of sight and easily managed via a Victron display.
The galley of the van has a ton of storage space, a large DC-powered 115L Vitrifigo refrigerator, sink with hot and cold water, microwave, and a cooktop that is powered by diesel. The countertop is large enough to cook a full family meal or have a dinner party with your closest friends. The front driver and passenger seats both swivel and a table sets up for dining or hanging out.
The exterior and suspension of the van is ready to take you down backcountry roads with its Agile off-road suspension, oversized all-terrain tires, and the Mercedes-Benz 4x4 system (not AWD). There are rugged side-steps and a matching roof rack with awning and off-road lights to light up even the darkest forest road and carry extra gear. The rear of the van has a full size spare stored on a tire carrier.
Sleeping in the van is comfortable with a tall bed in the back that has flares for extra room for two large adults. A fold down seat in the middle of the van can either convert to a large bed for two kids or one adult and is also able seat two while traveling on the road. Heat for cold winter nights is supplied by a high-end DC powered hydronic Rixen system that provides hot water on demand and ample air heating supplied by the van’s diesel system. Shower off after a long day with hot and cold water off the back of the van. A cassette toilet is stored easily inside for cold winter nights.
